Paul first walked into a boxing gym aged eight-years-old and got punched in the nose so he didn't return again until he was 28!
A successful stint in the unlicensed scene in Essex saw Hilz lose just one in 14 fights, picking up British and European cruiserweight titles along the way.
As a pro, Paul is taking on every challenge that comes his way. He won on his pro debut then went straight into a six-rounder against a winning fighter in his second pro fight, which is unheard of, suffering a defeat by just one point.
He then did an eight-rounder in just his third fight, retiring his opponent in the fifth-round.
Always striving to go one better than before, Hilz then challenged for his first title against an opponent with more than double the experience, losing a second time on points.
Eager to right the wrong, he challenged again for a title, this time winning on points and lifting the International Challenge Belt.
